House Manager Job Description We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive House Manager to oversee the cleanliness, organization, and overall maintenance of our household.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
As a House Manager, you will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, pet care as needed, stocking, and basic food preparation, ensuring a comfortable and well-functioning living environment for our household.
Responsibilities Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the entire house, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all surfaces.
Create and implement an organized system for managing household tasks, including laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management.
Take care of pets' needs, such as feeding, walking, grooming, and ensuring their overall well-being.
Stock and maintain inventory of household supplies, including cleaning products, toiletries, and groceries.
Place orders as needed and coordinate deliveries.
Assist with basic food preparation, including meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking simple meals when required.
Collaborate with other staff members, such as housekeepers, gardeners, and contractors, to ensure a seamless operation of the household.
Perform light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, and coordinating repairs with outside vendors.
Manage the household calendar, including scheduling appointments, coordinating events, and organizing travel arrangements.
Monitor and maintain the security systems within the property, ensuring the safety and privacy of the household.
Oversee and coordinate any additional projects or tasks assigned by the employer, demonstrating flexibility and a can-do attitude.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
Previous experience in a similar role as a House Manager, Estate Manager, or Household Manager is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Basic culinary skills and familiarity with meal planning and food preparation.
Ability to handle and care for pets, including feeding, walking, and grooming.
